From humble beginnings

Philip started in the industry as an electrical apprentice more than 30 years ago with ESCOM (Electricity Supply Commission). After leaving South Africa for New Zealand, Philip worked on the automation of New Zealand’s hydroelectric power stations. With this experience under his belt, he made the move to the Northern Territory where he was a Technical Coordinator and Project Supervisor for Power and Water Remote Services for 16 years.

During that time, Philip worked on the installation, commissioning, support and maintenance of Power and Water remote power station in the Darwin, Katherine and Alice Springs regions. With this expertise, Philip took the opportunity to start E-P-G Solutions and in that time, he’s overseen the installation and commissioning, repairs and maintenance of generation control systems, generators, and auxiliary equipment to meet the unique needs of the Territory.
